Kin Fai Law - Design for Development

My name is Kin Fai Law, and I am the senior Management Science student at UCSD. Certainly, I am interested in Economics, hoping to apply the Economics theories, public policies I learned to the developing countries so as to improve their living standard. Besides, technology is running so fast, it is the time for the developed countries to contribute or share some of the technology to improve the problem of poverty.

Doing well in economic activity is the first step to develop the economy, this is what I believe. There are no free lunch in the world, every development must require some capital to operate, once the economy obtain the basic financial support with appropriate government policy, then this economy may possible to generate more wealth, China would be a good example of it. Hence, I suggest the developing economies should build up their own business first to as the financial base of their economies in order to further the development. In fact, we cannot help introducing more technologies to improve the situation of the economy; I believe we can apply both economics side and technology side to improve the living standard of the developing economies.

I cannot contribute more on scientific technology, but I hope my view of Economics analysis may help in this task. I am glad to know more or another views to help the developing countries.
