Hi,
My name is Karin Shih, this is my last year as a Management Science major.
I'm very glad I have this chance to take this class and discuss some very important issues at underdeveloping countries, or even issues that's occurring around the world.
I'm really interested the economics in underdeveloping countries, newly developed technology (especially mobile phones technology, wireless technology, and cars).

It is very interesting to know that even though some underdeveloping countries are thought to be behind on their technology, most recent news was that China showed case their cars at the Detroit Car Show. They are also trying to make their capital, Beijing to be a wireless city for the up coming summer olympic. It might be hard to install landlines, especially to villages that are far from the city or power tower, butalmost everyone has a cell phone. However, some of these people come to face the problem of not having sufficient electricity, such as charging their cell phones.

In addition, I'm also very interested in Green (renewable) energy. Since oil prices keep on increasing, hybrid car percentage sales continues to increase, existing energy resources have really come face to face with everyone’s daily lives. Therefore, it is very important to find an alternative engergy source that won't pollute our environment. Green Energy
