Hello, my name is James Chang and I am a fourth year at UCSD. My major is psychology, and I intend to pursue a business minor. I am originally from San Marino, CA. I am interested in developing technology for developing economies because that is is very relevant to the real world. Technology plays a huge part in impacting the direction and status of the world. Many members of society are heavily dependent on technology to enhance their day to day activities. However, the true number of people who are involved in the shaping and developing of technology is limited to the select few. The vast majority of people who are in the developing countries do not have the same access to the wealth of knowledge available in the digital age that the people in first world countries have. I would like to explore how we can really share that wealth and what steps can be taken to slowly assimilate the less-technologically savvy into the digital age.
I am interested in the automobile, mobile phone, and energy technologies and how they impact the world.
I am the most interested in Asia.
I will be able to contribute my business knowledge and perspective.
I found this interesting website which pretty much groups all the energy related topics together. A pretty good read.
