Frequently Asked Questions

Are 8-bit computers powerful enough to run effective educational software?
  • Yes! Many educational games were developed during the 80s for platforms such as the Apple II.

Are you going to sell these or give them away?
  • We feel it is ethically important to empower individuals to purchase computers themselves, at a market price. And at $10, nearly every household in the world that owns a television would be capable of purchasing a home computer. While this project focuses on computers inexpensive enough to purchase, some NGOs and government organizations may wish to freely distribute these machines.

What is your target market?
  • The aspiring middle class in developing countries (and we believe that ALL countries are developing countries!)
