Women from slum areas are illiterate or semi-illiterate andneeds are as follows :
-Jobs
- healthcare
- education
- Visuals that infer everday actions (ie, coook, clean, read, etc.) give a good clue with what what persons who are illiterate associate it
- In a study that Microsoft Research conducted, handrawn drawings conveyed the message to users better
- What is about these drawings that people get their cultural connotations from?
- Has this prototype been actually advertised to the mass market? given the results?
- Results from Human Computer Interface Prototype
- Interface should be kept because it gives a good insight into the structure of Indian society
- On the other hand, we need to look at the whole picture such as whether women from different parts of India share similar experiences.
